A narrative and financial report is required approximately one month after your grant term has ended. We send reminders with exact deadlines. Your reports are important to us. They help us evaluate our own work and strategies by review of your progress. You may email your report to lisa@friedmanfamilyfoundation.org. You may use the narrative Grant Report Template or, please follow the instructions below:
- Please type and single-space your report.
- Please use standard margins (text should not run to the edges of the page), and font size should be at least 12 point.
- The report should not be longer than five single-sided pages.
- Please describe your progress to date and the impact of your accomplishments in addressing the root causes of poverty. Show quantification of results wherever possible

Please answer the questions below in the order listed. Please type the question, followed by your answer (the narrative, including the header, should not be longer than five single-sided pages):
- List grant objectives and concisely indicate the progress and impact achieved (please show quantification of results wherever possible) toward each objective.
- What major favorable or unfavorable variance(s) from stated goals, objectives and projected expenditures occurred during the period? Indicate if the variance will hinder or prevent accomplishment of objectives.
- Do you currently expect that the planned results will be produced by the completion of this grant period? If not, explain
- Do you currently expect to continue this program after the end of the grant period? If so, does you organization have in place a commitment for appropriate resources?

- Please follow the three-column financial report format below.
- The first column should show the original line item budget of submitted with your proposal. You must report on the entire budget you submitted, not just Friedman Family Foundation grant funds.
- The second column should show the actual expenditures to date for each line item.
- The third column should show balances remaining or overrun variances.
- All overrun variances exceeding both $1,000 and 10% of the budgeted line item amount should include an explanation.
- Each column should be totaled.
